When the world around us starts to go crazy, simple unchanging truths can steady us.

Anyone else fascinated by astronomy?

The night sky can hold my attention like little else. There’s something calming and expansive about being wrapped in darkness punctuated by specs of light from millions of miles away.

No matter where I’ve been in the world I can look up in the night sky and find a few familiar beacons of light. Sometimes I have to look harder than others, maybe they come up earlier or later, maybe my horizon has changed- but the stars are always there: offering illumination, familiarity and direction.
