Want the quick version? Vitex doesn’t contain any hormones but has been shown to act on the Pituitary gland to help balance hormone levels. It also keeps prolactin secretion in check to balance both estrogen and progesterone.
By giving the body more support in balancing hormones, we see improvements in PMS, Fertility, Menstrual headaches, irregular cycles, hot flashes and PCOS. (Now you know why she gets called the Hormone Balance Queen).

A few things to note; Vitex is a slow and steady herb – meaning that many women see the most benefits after taking it daily for 3-6 months.
And yes – it does improve fertility, so take precautions if you aren’t actively trying (or ready) to conceive.
