So you’ve learned about a handful of amazing herbs that are wonderful to help you sleep.
And quite frankly – most of them sound like something you could benefit from!
So which one should you try?
The answer is often that you really WILL benefit from many different herbs at once- THAT is where formulas & blends come in.
This beautiful tea blend I made for a client today I call “Steady & Serene”.
Since I know her particular patterns & health history this blend includes several of the sleep & anxiety herbs in this past weeks series and a few other wonderful nourishing tonic and cardio protective herbs to address her particular needs.
Isn’t that awesome? The more you learn about herbs (and the more you understand what’s going on in your body) the more options you have to fine tune a formula so it will be best for you!
(See why I love ❤️ what I get to do??)
Does that mean you shouldn’t use single herbs?
Of course not- some are able to help a ton on their own and sometimes its important to be able to adjust the dose of a single herb up or down as needed.
Ashwagandha is an example of one I often recommend as a single or simple herb taken daily to assist in deeper sleep and help manage the body’s response to stress. But I also have several formulas that this wonderful herb acts as an essential component of.
It just means that if you try one herb that you think matches your needs & constitution and don’t get the results you had hoped for, then there are other likely other issues that need to be addressed simultaneously. For example your struggle to sleep and racing mind may be related to your digestion, adrenal fatigue or even liver issues. A well made formula designed to meet a variety of your individual needs makes all the difference!
