Anxiety, Circular Thinking Keeping You Up at Night?

The non-stop world 🌎 we live in can make it really hard to relax- it seems like a cruel joke that anxiety can make it so hard to sleep 😴 and the lack of sleep πŸ‘€ compounds feelings of anxiety 🀯😬😫 Luckily we have some amazing botanicals to help – earlier this spring I was captivated by this brilliant purple flower growing in abundance in the steep inclines of some of my favorite trails – I was thrilled and delighted to learn it is a local variety of skullcap- it’s ability to bloom so magnificently in steep terrain speaks volumes about its ability to help when you get stuck in stressful cycles.

The great thing about this herb is that it can be wonderful for anxiety any time of the day or night – but when you combine it with other sleep promoting herbs or brew a strong tea before bed, it has the ability to reduce oxidative stress, relax muscles and calm the mind.
I’ve used it for clients young & old and find it a staple in many formulas for those working through anxiety and stress.
Rosalee de la Foret recommends 5g of skullcap to 8 oz water, infuse for 15 mins (that means cover & let rest)
I have found 30-45 drops of the tincture is helpful to calm the mind day or night.

An infused oil can be applied topically to release tension in tight muscles. It also has a history of use for toothaches and cramps. #skullcap #sleepremedy
